The journey begins for Sir Gawain … This is a scene inspired by the tale “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight”, which was translated By J.R.R. Tolkien a while ago. It is depicting the moment when, after a christmas celebration that lasted several days, the mighty Gawain leaves Camelot alone to avenge King arthur, who has been insulted by the mysterious and frightening Green Knight.
